The entry doors on the SpaceKap are nearly worth the price all on their own - awesome.

However, it's a big leap to give up the built-in backup camera in the tailgate. How are you managing around that?

Is the diesel heater feeding from the truck or is there a small separate tank? I assume the exhaust is on the other side of the shell?

And lastly, is the window in the rear door your fitment, or factory option?

Thanks

Sorry for the slow reply Drifter 2023 (I'll spare you my computer excuses). I moved the backup camera from the tailgate to just above the license plate which works well there regardless if camper or tailgate is on or off. The diesel heater feeds from a small separate tank. Yes the fresh combustion air and exhaust are routed to the outside of the shell. The rear door window is a custom double pane fitment. (The factory windows for the rear doors are quite large and only single pane). Likewise the skylight is a custom double pane, and a second pane has been added to the nose windows. The galley window is a euro style acrylic double pane. This is the third unit I've built over the last 6 years (2 Marandas 1 SK) for true 4 season use including backcountry skiing. Thus, other than being 1/2 ton capable and comfortably sleeping 3+ , winter design goals focus on quiet heat, insulation, minimal thermal bridging, and moisture management. I previously had a Sprinter for 10 years, and briefly owned a Northern Light and a Bigfoot. I find these slide in fiberglass shells make excellent 4 season campers for a 1/2 ton.
Current price is $28K USD ($39K Can) firm
