By spare wheel, do you mean the one installed under the bed by Toyota when the truck was new? And are you interested in wheel only, or also the stock spare tire?
Honestly, the salvage yards should have them cheaper than the cost of shipping one. Not much demand for these wheels, I would guess.
They are actually pretty hard to find. I tried last month to find 4 and came up empty. Try salvage yards or a company called Transwheel. They might be able to find them for you if you're patient.
I've had posts on IH8MUD, Ultimate Yota, and TTORA for a couple of months looking for 3 of these for my trailer build. I only had 2 responses, and they never panned out.
I was out of time, so just last week I purchased 3 of the black steelies from Wheeler's Offroad for $43 ea. Even if you do find the Toyota ones, that's probably about how much you're gonna pay them anyway...
I found a whole trailer tire and wheel laying out in the brush on a frontage road by the highway. Took it to the local tire shop to see if they would give me $$$ for it. Told em I was looking for a 16 toyota wheel for my truck, too. He traded me for a 16" alloy rim straight across. They also had a black steel one.
Might go to a few tire shops and see if they have any. ?
yeah, 16". i want to keep it real with the 4 spares. yes, the one under the bed of my truck when it was new. i havent looked very hard. i thought i would try here first. doesnt sound very promising... let me know if anyone wants to sell 'em. thanks.
Yea - the Wheelers price ain't bad at all. The salvage yards around Denver want $50 - $75 for the Toyota 16", 16 hole black steel. I've managed to pick up one for $20 locally, and I'm still looking for 2 more.
Used to be a used wheel vendor called "1-800-USED-RIM" but a qwiky search only turned up a dead page link so no idea if they are still in business or not.
