I spotted this rig today in my back yard! Ok at the local supermarket. Werent these rigs built for the German railroad industry? Anyway its pretty cool. My wife couldnt see the beauty in her but I sure could! Heres some pics I took.

I saw this rig the day before yesterday in Mammoth Lakes, CA.

Wanted to chat with the owners about their adventures, but could not find them.

Looked solid and well used.

looks a little short, do you think the roof raises? it looks it on the passenger side but not on the drivers?
it certainly looks bullet proof

Interesting rig. I would love to see the interior.

I wonder if they leave it rough looking because they do not have the bones to fix it up, or because they like the rough look. I have heard that if you keep your rig looking thoroughly downtrodden fewer people will try to bug you about buying their crap.

SURE wish you could have gotten some photos on the inside! Looks like the top lifts up like a westfalia top, do you agree?

Cool find, thanks for sharing.

Cheers

What would you feel safer in traveling through under developed countries, this one or one painted yellow with 1K stickers declaring how much money you spend on all the extra crap inside. I think its genius!
