Spotted this Volvo in Bend Or. Wow!

I spotted this expedition setup in Bend Oregon today. It is amazing! Nobody was home maybe tommorrow. They have a great web site and have been on an incredible trip so far! www.menrad-international.com

We camped next to them for a few days and they are they are extremely nice people. I talked to them for a few hours in Alaska about their camper. It is very nice inside, marble floor w/radient heat, all solar or diesel, etc... and a very capable rig. They plan on taking about 10 years to complete their travels.

Yep,

There a great couple. I met them two months a go on Mt Hood. We had just finished training on White River Gracier, and they were in the parking lot getting fuel next door to the place I stopped for lunch. so I drove over to have a look

The husband dosent speak much english, But the wife was very talkative. Strong accent and a little hard to understand. she said SAR Huh... and we started the conversation about Search and Rescue.

I got a peek at the inside. Nice rig.

They have spent the last five years making there way across the us.

We were fortunate to have the Menrad's attend a rally in October. They were really great people and their rig is a jaw-dropper.

Small world!

I was driving south on the 1 by Big Sur last Thursday and spotted them as well. -Stopped to say hello and take a picture, but I think they were asleep or out hiking.
