Sprinter Van 4x4. So... Which one?

I know this has been amply debated, but im a bit short on time and need real world feedback.

Have the chance to go for a 2014 MBenz 315 4x4 sprinter, with 40k miles, for 30k USD. Its a 144wb and standard size. Was setup a fridge transport, so its just the box, no side windows.

What are your thoughts on this wb vs the extended option as well as length? Insight on pro´s, cons, regarding travel, city use and off roadability are welcome.

Will be used first as a RTW vehicle SA to Alaska and then as a future family camper van.

I’d rather have the extended personally, but it depends on what you are doing with it. If it’s just to travel with one or two people the 144” is great size. But you will run out of toy space rather quickly depending and that extra few feet will appealing. Bikes, paramotors, equipments, children, get the extended.
