Squealing dog noise underneath...

What does a sound like a squealing dog (like when you step on a leg or tail) accompanied by a subtle rattle emanating from the underbody, roughly in front of the co-pilot's seat, when off-road indicate on D40 Frontier/Navara?

well unfortunatley our frontiers / navara's get under squeeks as soon as they touch dirt. you can try and get it out as best as you can with a pressure washer, etc. But you'll have to re-grease your rear or else youll just have to live with it. I know squeeks just dont sound / look good on a new truck. but thats one con we have to live with.

Oh, something else I thought of-

Pop your hood and look on each corner of the front of the hood. You'll see two rubber pads that rest on the front of the engine compartment. When they get dust underneath and you're driving, they'll squeak when your flex (I'm talking minor flexing, like potholes and speedbumps).

Some thick grease underneath those where they meet the metal is a quick fix. I'm contemplating sticky-sided neoprene for a permanent fix.

Sounds more like a sound emanating from the suspension, since it's bumpy roads, rather than brake application which elicits the squeal...
