Starting over and making a sleep inside trailer.

Sold my RTT trailer.
Building a sleep inside camping trailer.
Made the trailer part out 1” x 2” x 1/8” channel and put a cargo box on the tongue.
Sleep compartment will 6.5 ft. Long 4.5 ft. Wide 4ft. High.
Made with 1/2” plywood 1” x 2” molding. Wood glue and 1” wood screws plus 3/4” foam insulation.
The back door inside measurements are 34” wide 40” high big enough to get the trifold 6” x 73” x 52” mattress and all my camping gear into the compartment.

Being able to sleep inside something not made of fabric is a total game changer.

Not having to climb a latter to get into it will be nice too.

You'll love it, looks fabulous.

I love mine.
Late night stop in the dark, zero setup, just roll into bed.
Wake to rain, roll out of bed and drive away, zero pack up.

Want to sleep in town, you won't look like an RV, just a truck and trailer parked on the street, ya can't do that with a tent, or popup.

Curious, what do you tow it with?

I love my jeep it freaks people out when I pass them because it doesn’t sound like a jeep.

Got more done inside insulation finished and top on sanded edges rounded 1/2”.

Floor is on and fiberglass sanded, using fiberglass to cover all seams for strength and seal compartment.

Using vinyl flooring on the inside, used foam board adhesive and tacks.
Side panels and sealing finished light installed

Put indoor/outdoor RV carpet for floor the 6” trifold mattress fits perfectly and when folded there is more then enough room for all my camping gear.

Painting is finished and I installed the 2 propane tank holders the awning and trap pole holder. The 2 windows and back door and the roof rack is all that I have left to install.
