Stock lx450 springs with Heavy Ome shocks?

Insane shipping costs to Alaska has me holding off till I'm back in America this fall for a lot of equipment. Love the ride of the stock setup and added man a fre 1.25" spacers front and rear. Played a little today it feels like the shocks are a limiting factor.

It is cheaper to ship the shocks than the springs so i was considering prepping for the drive out and mounting a set of heavy duty shocks now With the factory coils. Anyone done this? Theories on how it would ride and handle? I can't see it being a bad move but thought I had best check with the 'cruiser collective' first.

I'm not at my personal computer so I can't give the part numbers, but I was going to replicate the setup I had with my previous Cruiser - OME heavy 2.5" lift springs in the front, medium 2.5" springs in the rear, and the new OME shocks matched accordingly. I drove a short time like that without a bumper and winch and it still rode and handled fine.

I'm not doing enough here n Alaska to feel like I have to do this. Just thought it would be consideration.
