Surfboard rack using jack brackets?

I’ve ordered an ATP Aterra hard-side topper for my F-150 and I’m wondering about mounting a surfboard rack on the side (van-style). It looks like it might not be an option to mount it directly to the honeycomb wall, but perhaps something could be fabricated to mount to the existing jack brackets on the bottom corners. Has anyone tried this on a camper/topper or know if a product already exists? Any suggestions? I know there’s a lot of ingenuity on this forum.

Fab something up that sits between the bedrails and the camper? Depending on the dimensions of the camper that could work.

I'd contact @Basil. at Basils Garage and pick his brain. They kinda specialize in baja surf travel type of builds.
