Survival courses and books

Any one know of any good books and or survival courses in the New England area?

No problem... I do highly recommend you take a class. The books are great but doing it is something completely different. Also practice what you read in the books. I do everytime I go camping. I have gotten good enough with a few fire starting methods that I don't even start our camp fire with matches/lighter anymore. And it is fun... haha

What I really like about the books, is they gave me ideas that I hadn't thought about before. I may not implement these ideas or methods exactly as they are described, but I might be able to use them in different ways, or to supplement a method I already know. After you read one book the others will just start to reinforce what you have already learned, which is great. The SAS book I mentioned above is considered the standard among survial books. It sets the bar for what to expect from a good book. It has tons and tons of stuff in it, and there is no way to memorize all of it, but you will pick up on the portions which fit your needs the best. I'd recommend getting this book first...

They should... That is where I got mine. It is one of the few that they carry.
