SUV tent on a full size with a camper shell?

Anyone ever use one of those SUV tents on a full size with a shell? Just picked up a shell for my truck and might be able to get used SUV tent for next to nothing. Curious if the sleeve will open big enough for my 2001 Duramax.

Any info on these things would be appreciated. Thanks

Not sure what you're referring to, a Roof Top Tent? Or something else?

It's basically a regular ground tent with sleeve off on side that secures around the back end of a SUV. You can sleep in your car while still being connected to the tent. I was wondering if it would fit around a full size truck with a shell. They have some larger SUVs.

This would be for just me and maybe one buddy on fishing trips. My wife and girls are already spoiled with the trailer and cabover camper.

I won't tent camp in anything other than a Kodiak or spring bar. There is no comparison. Bomb proof, period. Unless backpacking of course.
