Suzuki V-Strom 1000 Concept

2009 was the last year. Everyone wanted better gas mileage and were buying the 650. I would never move down to the 650 after riding the 1000. They are both awesome bikes for a very good price.

Huh... that's funny... 'cos I could have sworn my 2012 Vstrom was a DL1000. Go figure...

interesting how they all seem to like the "beak" nowadays.

Suzuki invented the beak on their earier Dakar bikes, it was stolen by BMW

Suzuki says the 2014 DL1000ADV, aka the VStrom 1000, will cost $12,700. That's a bargain compared to 1000cc+ ADV models from other manufacturers.

Here's a review of the 2014 V-Strom 1000 with ABS. Suzuki makes an "adventure" model that adds a few features, but is basically the same bike.
