Tacoma seat mod

Has anyone tried modding the drivers seat in a tacoma to move it back an inch or two? I'm 6'4'', and I could use a big more leg room.
I did this in a 96 chevy silverado a long time ago. It was pretty simple. I've taken the seat out of my 2006 tacoma, and it looks a bit more complicated.
Before I talk to a machine shop (I think it may be too complicated to do myself...) I wanted to see if anyone else has taken this on, or if anyone has any ideas.

Too funny, I'm 5'7" and want to do a mod to raise the seat in my 2007. You're right, the angles involved with the base are going to make it a bit tricky to pull the mod off nicely.
