Looks like the reserve price is 100k, but if the reserve goes down could be a great "earthroamer-like" base for overlanding. Not sure if you have to be in law enforcement to take delivery of a vehicle like this. Would need some reconfiguration for a sleeping area, but a lot of the wiring seems to be in place (or could be a nightmare).

One could also make some serious cash back selling off components on ebay, I think, especially if the generator/FLIR/satellite and communications hardware are not needed. Keep the shell and wiring in place and build up from there.

you don't need to be .gov to buy it, but I'd be worried that it would sink in a parking lot with all of that crap bolted on. Even after you strip it down, it'll still be a bad design for bouncing down dirt roads and country trails.

So many of these units came into service following 9/11 and federal mandates and funding to meet ICS/NEMS requirements. Most if not all were ego builds that never met the actual needs of the operations/operators on the ground. At the end of the day, if you can purchase it cheap it should have been well maintained by an agency fleet services and would be a great starting point for a project. Most were designed to go from a parking lot to a parking lot command post. God forgive the poor soul that drove it off road and got it stuck.......

I can see why they needed this type of tactical command vehicle in Topeka Kansas and why it STILL has less than 3K miles.
