Tepui Awning extension vs. Awning Walls

Hello everyone,
I'm looking to see the positives and negatives of going with one of the above products over the other.

I desire a place to change easily outside of my RTT, along with a place to put my action packers/ backpacks etc. when i unload the 4runner.

Any input or reviews would be great. - to be honest what I desire is the awning walls with the PVC floor!!!!

Thanks,

Adam

also pic of my most recent get away....

Which model tent do you have? It looks like a Kukenam. Tepui has an annex option for the Kukenam that is the 4 walls and includes the PVC floor. The walls for the awning will leave you without a floor so that may or may not work for you. The awning extension would work well too since it looks like you have the awning already. The extension has a floor and quite a bit of room so I think it would work well but in case you weren't aware the annex for your tent is out there too.

Either way you go, let me know and I can get you a bit of a price break.

Unfortunately its the Ayer- the smallest. Due to this, no annex available for below the tent :/

Hence my current situation. but either way once things get decided on I can speak to you about pricing. Also- I'm about 40 minutes from the Tepui headquarters so I'm pretty familiar with the guys(and gals) over there and was planning for the cyber monday deal- but depending on what we can cut with you...- we'll talk through PM. :D

There is an annex available for the Ayer, but it doesn't have a floor. So the option is still there but the floor becomes the deciding factor it sounds like. If that's the case the awning extension is probably your best bet.

Is the awning extension pretty heavy duty? I was debating one as well but would also be using it for sleeping sometimes. Hard to tell what it would be like in a rain storm, etc compared to the standard dome tent setup.

It's pretty sturdy. Ideally it should be used with an awning and not as a stand alone tent. That's why it's called an awning extension. I have seen people use them as a stand alone tent or changing room and it can be done that way. But they are designed to attach to the edge of the awning and that makes them much more sturdy because of that attachment to the awning.

I think you are right. I also like the idea of the extention adding further "protection" to the awning setup. How is the setup of the extension. compact and quick?

If only you have the ayer annex with a floor :( I would have ordered that like... yesterday. hahha

I thought Tepui carried annexes with floors for the smaller tents. Might want to check with Griffin at their office since I remember talking with them about this before getting my Kukenam Ruggedized.

They do have an annex with a floor for the Kukenam.
