Tepui Kukenham XL RTT Weight Distribution

I have a new Tepui Kukenham Ruggedised XL on a Frontrunner on a LandRover LR4.

Its an awesome tent and I'm really pleased with it.

However being an XL its big and heavy and uses more rack space than I would like.

I want to move it forward approx 6 inches beyond the edge of the rack, which would give me more space on the back for firewood, water/fuel etc etc.

But, I'm conscious of weight distribution on the truck as this is a 210lbs tent. (Normally people mount them as far back as possible.)

Anyone done this or have any thoughts on that?

Noise is the main reason I have found for moving it back. wind between tent and roof will sound like you are driving inside a kettle drum. I think it "could" hang over the front... but I doubt you'll like it.

The tent will be fine if you decide to move it forward. It will come down to how you load your rack (but I don't foresee any issues with the Frontrunner rack) and any wind noise that might come from different placement. I don't think you'll notice much difference.
