Tepui RTT mounting options

My roof rack sits almost as wide as my RTT. So my sliding attachment hardware sits pretty close to the edge giving me a lack of confidence. It seems to me from the digging I have done its a proprietary hardware that is currently not available. What I would like is a slide that is one piece and about 4-6" long.

just ditch the aluminum track and cut a couple of pieces of unistrut to the width you need, then connect to your rack with u-bolts and use the unistrut 1/4-20 hardware to attach to the tent. my various Tepui tents have been mounted this way for years with only an occasional re-torque. LocTite is your friend here.

or... Have someone weld the two aluminum plates that slide in the track end to end, if your concern is the first one falling out? I really don't understand why this would be a concern though.
