The Dreaded Timing Chain Whine

So I have the dreaded timing chain whine and since Im a college student and cant afford the massive price tag by Nissan. Im think about doing all the work myself, Im also fairly mechanically inclined. Is there any pointer or advice any of you can give me, maybe complete parts list. Any help would be great!!
