The main goal is to really inspire people and the market and society to accelerate the transition towards a more sustainable future.

The specs on that van are impressive, extra 80 miles of range while driving just from the roof top solar.

Thanks for sharing!

And finally, the guy who inspired Tesla, using 6800 laptop batteries 20 years ago... built in his driveway..... 300 mile range.

Not sure if he was powered by 6800 laptop batteries or his first version with 24 lead acid batteries.

The coolest thing about electric motors is the ability to deliver energy sipping economy or mind boggling acceleration
The infernal combustion engine does one or the other. You want mind boggling power add nitrous and a separate pump to free flow gasoline. Some say cranked up to produce enormous power drains the batteries...... well yeah.... what kind of mileage does a V8 get on nitrous.... Its not rocket science.

The advantage of electric motors is the range from economy to power with zero changes. Turn a dial up to win the race. Turn it down for hyper miling. No internal combustion engine has that kind of flexibility.
