If you liked the tiny Samurai and Vitara and wished we’d get another similar fun to drive little SUV available here, here’s the one that got away:
Only 60 of these tantalizing little prototype mini Jeeps were built.
Whatever happened to them known is unknown.
Trying to satisfy the fun to drive mini offroad market instead many years later resulted in the release of the less than successful and much less inspiring or exciting Compass and Patriot. 🫤
The decision to shelve this cool concept of what might have been was clearly a swing and a miss unfortunately.
