The Vehicles of the Pioneers of Off Road Expeditions

The Wizard

Observer
Unlike my journeys off road, I my research often takes me down very difficult paths. I volunteered to give some short informal talks on early off road expeditions. So far I have covered Horatio Nelson Jackson's 1903 transcontinental trip in a Winton Motor Carriage Company car. And Expédition Citroën Centre Afrique(La Croisiere Noir) and Citroën's Mission Centre-Asie(La Croisiere Juane). The talks focus on the vehicles used. For the Citroën expeditions PSA Peugeut Citroën Automobiles were very helpful. Now I am researching Roy Chapman Andrew's use of Dodge Brothers Motor cars in his Central Asiatic Expeditions. I have contacted both the Roy Chapman Andrews Society and the American Museum of Natural History in New York City for whom he worked for information but have gotten no reply. Just wondering if anyone can supply information on the Dodge cars used by Mr. Andrews or direct me to a source for that information. Thank you.

Stupid question, but would Dodge not know a bout about them? Or a Dodge Historical Society(There HAS to be one)?

I have Googled Dodge historical collector and a number of other variations on the subject but no site come up that look like what I need. There is no specific "Dodge Historical Society" other than "Dodge County" that Google can find.

I see a bit about the creator of dodge, but thing of any vehicle before 1974. Perhaps a few letters to the various current Dodge company folks could help. They HAVE to have SOMETHING.

My first issue was trying to find a Dodge historical society haha. Never though of Chrystler!
