thinking of buying this trailer

Not too fond of the step in the tongue, would highly suggest gusseting etc. before use.

it's junk. Sorry, but it is. It will be heavy, and by the looks of that tongue, it may not be built all that well. For another couple hundred you will be able to find a new utility trailer that will suit your needs or keep your eyes out on the used market.

:iagree:

What type of trailer are you looking for? I would ID your needs before you just purchase something b/c it's cheap, and cheap that is!
*note* I didn't say inexpensive

I just saw a couple Military ones round here for the 500-750 range. Your better off with one of them. Heck for that matter a TSC or Lowes 4x6 or 4x8 would be better.

Weight would be a concern. The framing of the truck is rather heavy and was designed as a ladder type with the whole frame and body attached. Cutting and torching it to bend to form a 'A' is not a real good thing. Same weight concern with the rear axle. About the only good thing, and I don't see it applied, would be the use of a parking brake.

I would also trim the skirts that hang down below the floor of the bed some. Just enough to keep a rock from reaching up and grabbing them.
