Hey all!
I have had my Taco for close to a month now and am loving it! It is a big change from the Rubicon I had before, in a good way. I love the power doors and locks, the extra space, and the ride is infinitely better on pavement. I'm know I am going to miss driving with the doors off when nicer weather comes, but I could always buy another motorcycle .
One of the few things that need to be remedied is the factory stereo. I am not an audiophile by any means but the speakers really seem to be anemic. The sound was better in my wrangler with the soft top on cruising down the highway at 65. Has anyone here swapped out the factory speakers and factory radio? I'm not a big fan of the way most aftermarket head units look (like a miniature disco in the cab) but if I replace the speakers I should probably replace the head unit to power them better. I don't know much about aftermarket speakers so I was wondering if anyone has thought the same as I do and found some better replacements. I know this isn't real high on the expedition priority list (for some) but I spend so much time in my truck I would like to improve the sound.
I should probably add that I have a 2002 Tacoma TRD double cab.
Cheers,
Josh
