Tires mixing slightly worn with new

I have a set of BFG MTR’s and want to run two that have no tread wear at all, and two with some wear but at least ¾ tread left.

Should I run the newer ones up front or on the rear?

Unless your axles are permanently locked (spool) I don't see any issues running them in any position. I'd put the new tires on whatever axle wears quicker on your truck, then start rotating them normally when they're around the same amount of wear.

That's pretty much how I'm going to approach it. Probably try them on the front first since my weekly trip has a lot of cornering on mountain roads.

I ended up putting the new ones on the front, and thought I'd post an update.
Just got back from a 250 mile round trip. 100 freeway, 125 twisty mountain roads, and about 25 on dirt roads. No freeway issues at all.

They seem to handle the same if not even better than the Cooper Discoverer Radial LT 32x11.5x15's that are still on my other rims. Because the BFG's are skinnier I think they're a little bit more responsive. Pavement tire pressure is currently at 45 psi.

I'm running a two year old OME Medium Heavy suspension. I wasn't carrying a real heavy load but was not empty by any means.

They do seem a little slower from the line but they also seem to have a little better gearing for the highway speeds. I think they call it Rubber Overdrive.
