I'll be in Japan three weeks from now, is there anything (place, club, person museum etc.) I shouldn't miss? Rearding LC's I mean!

Not related to Land Cruisers, but there is a Toyota Auto Salon in Ikebukuro that I visited while walking about town. I found it by complete chance, but it was pretty cool to check out. There are lots of displays of new Toyota technology and an F1 car. The best part is that the girls smile back when you smile at them (my dirty old man moment)! :wings:

Here's a link that I just found: http://www.sunnypages.jp/travel_guide/tokyo_leisure/show_rooms/Toyota+Auto+Salon+Amlux/1863

Have fun!

I've spent a lot of time in Tokyo for work related travel, but haven't been there for 10 years or so. I can't help you with the LC thing, but here are a few ideas (in the greater Tokyo area):

Asakusa - Famous Shinto shrine built in the mid-1600's. At the entry gate to the shrine hangs a very large red lantern that is often seen in paintings and pictures. There are a lot of small touristy shops in the area as well.

Meiji Shrine - Located in Shibuya, this is a shrine dedicated to the Meiji Emperor. Not very old, it was built in the 1920s. It's located in a large park that is interesting to walk around as well. If memory serves me there is a museum relating to the emperor there as well.

If you are interested in museums, the Tokyo National Museum may be worth a visit. Pretty vast collection of Japanese art and artifacts.

Head down to Harajuku on a nice Sunday afternoon for a taste of Japanese teen/youth culture. This area is a popular place for young Japanese to meet and socialize. Used to be a big thing with the "kids" over there.

I find Japanese urban parks to be fascinating. Much more like gardens in terms of the formality and degree to which they are manicured. There are a lot of them in Tokyo, and one of my favorite things to do over there was take a walk in a nearby park. YMMV.

Unfortunately, you won't see many land cruisers in Tokyo because of the heavy diesel restrictions since 2003.

Also check out Roppongi (great people watching spectacle), Ginza (shopping spectacle) and in my opinion the best is the Tsukiji fish market (just unbelievable for many reasons).

Toyota has a museum of sorts in Nagoya (2 hours by Shinkansen) and another in Toyoda City, but I don't recall any LC content. Some cool restored examples of circa 1950s BJs at one of Toyota's Engineering buildings. Though not open to the public.

You should look into a place called Flex Auto sales I think. They have several locations around Tokyo and are Landcruiser fanatics. I went to one of their shops and they have major drool factor in their inventory. They do a lot of refurbishing of old cruisers. Check them out!

Unfortunately the Japanese Auto industry is mostly in Nagoya.. Japan's Detroit Motor City..

Good food is all over but the best would be in Osaka.. Unfortunately I couldn't give you more info than that.... However there is a Moon Eyes in Yokohama.. The Japanese were really big into the Rock'a'billy and bad *** motorcycles & hot rods.. Back when I worked for a shipping company we shipped ton's of American product to Japan... Along with some bad ole' cars!
