Tow Harness Issue

I have a 2011 SV and have the factory flat 4 tow harness. I need to upgrade/change to a seven way connector. However all the pins I see for plug and play don't work. At the pig tail connection to the vehicle I have a grey plug with green on the inside like this one

but all seven way connectors have this one

I am not sure if there is a factory OEM/ aftermarket one that will work but I need this by the end of july.

Nissan has a factory 7 pin connector. There are three relays I believe in the right side of the truck at the passengers feet that need to be hooked up. I'll take a picture tomorrow.

I just installed a trailer towing harness on my Xterra. The seven wire loom splits into two tails, I imagine one of the tails is a typical 4pin, the other adds the trailer brakes. One plug, I think the gray one, was easy to find, the other is tucked up outboard of the driver side leaf spring. The plug and play aspect of installing the factory harness was super easy; there are three relays that Nissan supplies with the trailer harness that hide behind the front passenger kick panel. Good luck.

I have all the relays and everything but the connector on the seven way is the smaller orange one where the one on the vehicle is the green connector. I would rather not have to cut I to my factory harness

There should not be any cutting of the factory harness, unless someone has already done so.
Not sure where that 8-cavity plug is from, it isn't factory. On the left frame rail between the bumper and the spring shackle you should find the 2 plugs for the trailer connection. 6-cavity plug with lighter gauge wires and a 2-cavity plug with heavier gauge wires. Those plugs have not changed at all between 2005 through present (currently 2016 for those reading this post in the future). Check under the truck again for the 2 plugs.

Is there a chance a previous owner modified the wiring? Your opening post asked if there is an OEM harness available; I used a Nissan OEM harness on my Xterra Off Road. Not sure if the SV is factory wired for towing.

Pathfinder, not Xterra or Frontier. That is the part that got me.
The V8 pathfinder had the factory 7-pin connector, the V6 got the 4-pin.
It has been too long since I delt in that gen pathfinder and hitch wiring. But look at V8 pathfinder wiring for the correct plug, not the frontier/xterra stuff.

I found the correct harness. it is this part number 999T8-XR024. From what I can see there is another part 999T8-XR010 which is the orange ended plug. This (XR024) does have an extra plug for the "antenna" but I have not idea where that would go. Another nice this is the factory seven way and it came with a factory bracket so no low slung plugs for me. Not I need to find a trailer to see if I need this relays I have heard about.
