Toyota announces a huge improvement in range using solid state battery tech.
Up to 932 miles when production starts in about 3 years.

They've been releasing press releases like this for a decade, at least, hoping people will wait to buy an EV, as their current offerings are hilariously uncompetitive.

I hope it happens and improves charging, energy density, etc., but I'm not holding my breath. They said ~5 years ago that they'd ALREADY be in production, now.

Solid state battery EV's in 3 more years? Meh. In 3 more years I wanna be able to buy something with HyperJets.

A 500WH solid state lithium battery to power a big drone currently costs $1000. I can't imagine the costs of solid state lithium batteries to power a car yet.
