TPMS Warning Light

Been blinking for a bit and tire pressure is not the issue. How do I troubleshoot which one(s) are bad or better yet, is there an easy way to eliminate/turn off? Black tape always works but looking for other alternatives.

Any tire shop should be able to determine which sensor is bad with their handheld reader. I replaced all of mine with aftermarket sensors but needed to have the dealer reprogram.

You could always pull the bulb in the dash if you don't want TPMS.

curious how much it cost to replace all 4.

It cost me $315 for 5 sensors from TPMSdirect.com and about $80 for the dealer to reprogram.

I had to replace mine on my 04 when I purchased last fall. Got aftermarket TPMS but had to go to dealer for programming.

Yeah, I tried 3 different shops who all failed at reprogramming. I also bought a TPMS reprogrammer online that was supposed to work with Monteros but did not.

The first Mitsubishi dealer could not reprogram the aftermarket sensors after 2 hrs of trying (they told me all sensors were defective). There is a specific TSB describing the process that they refused to look at. The 2nd dealer programmed them with no issues in about 45 minutes.
