Oh sorry facts.....if you wanted the technical details I could have supplied them
You simply asked the same question twice
Viton is about as tough as it gets as far as flexible seals go, we pump IPA, Xylene and toluene and use only viton or metal to metal seals, viton is standard with any high solvent petrochemicals, petrol is above IPA and less destructive than the other two
Diesel with viton....well maybe in 10 years you might have to change one...but it will probably dry out before the diesel actually causes any issues

but this info is not secret- just standard for chemical containment seals.
I can post the MSDS sheets if you wish but that would be a waste of time.
Back to basics....if a can is designed for gasoline it will work for diesel
