TRADE: Scepter GAS cans for DIESEL cans

Oh sorry facts.....if you wanted the technical details I could have supplied them

You simply asked the same question twice

Viton is about as tough as it gets as far as flexible seals go, we pump IPA, Xylene and toluene and use only viton or metal to metal seals, viton is standard with any high solvent petrochemicals, petrol is above IPA and less destructive than the other two

Diesel with viton....well maybe in 10 years you might have to change one...but it will probably dry out before the diesel actually causes any issues

Sorry again for not supplying the "technical details you required"

but this info is not secret- just standard for chemical containment seals.

I can post the MSDS sheets if you wish but that would be a waste of time.

Back to basics....if a can is designed for gasoline it will work for diesel

the other way round the seal will fail over time:costumed-smiley-007

I asked the question once
So what is the actual difference? The gaskets?
and you quickly reposted the previous generic non-Scepter low on useful facts answer. :xxrotflma

Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS not "MSDS sheets" just as "LED Diodes" is redundant) are no secret and would only be marginally useful because of the way the cans have been manufactured, gaskets selected and product distributed. The MSDS would not address the gasket material colors and when the gaskets were installed. The MSDS would not address the damage to the cap from using a rubber gasket and storing gasoline (petrol). That is why I called Scepter to help share with folks rather than have somone repeating incomplete information again and again. Oh sorry, I guess you simply did not read my post here http://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/showthread.php?p=334186#post334186 before you jumped in again with a sermon on "basics".
