I agree with the guy that says you ‘can’ only fill your tires with ‘enough’ PSI for the load. Of course you need to know the weight of the load.
I like using adequate PSI on my trucks and off-highway trailers, everything seems to work much better on and off-highway. On utility trailers I tend to fill tires close to maximum unless the tire capacity is ridiculously high for the load the trailer routinely carries.
