Transmission Fault - LR3

I recently switched to coils and thought this might be related but it started happening at least three weeks afterwards so I'm not sure any longer. I'm getting a Transmission Fault which affects the DSC, HDC and Special Programs - DSC light and amber (!) appear on the dash. All become inoperative but the transmission still shifts perfectly and the truck drives normally. I had a code for a brake light switch, replaced it yesterday, transmission fault still happening. It appears within 2 minutes to 10 minutes after starting and driving. It looks like I'm looking at pulling the carpet on the passenger side but before doing so, any other suggestions? One thing I do notice, even though there are no faults related to the EAS on the dash after the coil conversion, the 4x4 centre shows the height status as "raising" as soon as I start the truck and start moving. I would def pull up the carpet and look at the pass side channel. The A/B comm failure, brake switch, etc can all sometimes be tied back to that. Less likely would be the transmission module up behind the battery, or a loose negative cable, dying battery, etc.

As far as the raising message-I ended up throwing rods on to stop the height sensor issues, you may want to consider doing that (or making your own). The other thing I found helpful was the reflash to coils a few times (unless you are running it as a filter). Seemed that after a few times it 'stuck' and has been happier ever since.

I've been seeing a lot of new brake lamp switches that are causing problems out of the box. I would recommend putting two test light bulbs on pins 1 and 2 of the brake lamp switch connector (see attached diagram). Slowly move the brake pedal, and if they both light up at the same time, the switch is no good. You can do this with two volt meters, but it is much more obvious with a light bulb.

It is also a good idea to just go ahead a put new tail lamp bulbs in since those can cause problems too.

Thanks for the info. One of the tail light bulbs is out, just waiting on the "right" one to put it in. The red (P) brake light flashes sometimes too when I shut the truck off. Thought that was what was why I was getting the brake switch code and hence replacing the switch.

I have the box wired in. We've had a heck of a lot of rain this summer and we drove nine hours from Lake Superior to near Toronto in downpours. I wouldn't be surprised if a bit of water got in the footwell.
