Trial Run in a Rented Airstream Basecamp

Hi all, and greetings to this subcommunity. By way of introduction, my wife and I are fairly avid offroad adventurers/explorers/overlanders. This past New Year's, we left our usual SUV tent behind and rented a Basecamp 16 REI for a trip through southern AZ and New Mexico.

We enjoyed the trailer-life upgrades, so I've been spending way too much time in this part of the forum learning about the options and market. As we get more serious about getting into trailer life, I am sure I will post some more with questions.

Right now I'm just soaking info, and we're thinking we'll start living the lifestyle in 2026. But if circumstances aligned this Fall (right rig, right price, right time), we might move things forward.
