I often have to work in Canberra so recently I started looking for additional route options rather than the main freeway between Sydney and Canberra...
I found the 4x4Earth website and a GPS tracklog which stated: 'Canberra to Goulburn - for those who think tar sucks'
I followed the suggested route and attempted to find the Trig Beacon however the recent rain has caused a bit of havoc on the freshly graded road...
The photo of the tyre does not do justice to the muddy conditions...
This photo was taken after I reversed / slid back down the very gentle gradient. My desire to 'Tread Lightly' did cause me to feel guilty for churning up a freshly graded track.
My old Garmin III+ GPS recorded the route as follows:
