Triumph Tiger 800XC info?

I just saw that Triumph is coming out with a new 800cc adventure bike. They have the specs on the web-site now and it seems pretty impressive. Here is the Tiger 800XC the Triumph US web site. There are a couple good videos on YouTube, but I haven't seen any good comparisons yet. Does anyone here have any good info to share?

I've been looking pretty hard at the BMW 800GS lately. But, my first "real" bike was a new 2000 Triumph Sprint ST that I bought myself my senior year of college and I LOVEd that bike and the way the triples sound. It'd be nice to get another Triumph. I guess I'm just hoping that the new Triumph will be as good in real life as it looks on paper.

I'm guessing you've seen the million page thread on advrider.com dedicated to this bike. Not that I'm looking but it looks like a nice bike. I believe it's under beasts sub group.

Not sure how much real riding has been done on this bike but a few journalist types across the pond have tested it and have liked it. I owned a 00 955i daytona and still can hear that triple wind up. Very addicting bikes.

Same great engine, except the weight, a good alternate to the BMW 800 GS. let's hope Yamaha, Honda and Suzuki follow.

Yeah, I finally saw the thread over on ADV... Didn't come up the first time I searched over there. Thanks though. I can't wait 'till they start getting into the dealers, though I'm still a probably 2 years before I can get one... (
