Our 2022 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon Diesel arrived this week. We have a Turtleback trailer being built that should be ready sometime in April. The past few months we have been ordering the first round of parts for our build, and after driving about 100 miles the tear down began. It's all about getting to those remote locations to cast a fly. I have owned and built a few Jeeps, but this is our first Diesel. It was pretty impressive to drive and should be great to tow the Turtleback expedition. Should take a few weeks for the initial modifications to the Jeep, I will try to keep the thread updated with the progress.

Starting on The EVO suspension, tires and wheels. Also had the bed sprayed without doing the tailgate as we are putting in a Blacksheep storage unit in. The Fun begins.

Thank you. We should be able to adjust it from 3-5, but I am looking for 3 maybe 3.5 in the front.

I've got a 2021 3.0 Diesel JT and I just had my first issue. Its in limp mode and its an issue with the DEF system. Hopefully its easily repaired. I am looking at doing exactly what you're doing and building a rig to take my aging father fly fishing in remote places of the U.S.. I was looking at the EVO coilover system since we will spend long hours on the highway and offroad. I'm excited to see how you like it. This will be a fun build for me to watch. Thanks for sharing

Let me know how you make out with the DEF system. Its always a good thing to know what to look for if that happens when we are remote. I am sure your father will appreciate getting the chance to wet a fly with you in some new places.

will do! From what I've been reading it should just be a flash and update, or an O2 sensor. Its under warranty, so not really a big deal, but if its going to be an ongoing problem I for sure want to know whats up when we are out and about. I'll keep you posted.

The storage compartment insert in the tailgate is setting up, the Diff covers front and rear are in and moving the battery box and a few other things so we can start cutting out the front suspension.

Got the front brackets for the coil overs and the long arm brackets welded in.

Installed skid plates while waiting for the front suspension parts to be completed.

DV8 adjustable tire rack installed, and finished the front suspension.

Finishing up the Bed rack and the side lighting, onboard ARB air and Updown air system with ports at all 4 wheel wells. The 4 place Fly rod tubes painted to match the granite Crystal are now on the top!
