Truspeed (superlift) to correct speedometer

Anyone have any first hand experience?

Looking at this for my '03 GC with 33" tires.

My speedo is off (-) about 12%.

I have one in my 2002 GC, when i was running the stock axles it worked just as advertized. (WJ's use the rear ABS sensors to pick up speed)

If memory serves me right the longest part of the install was carefully cutting back the insulation on a large wiring harness to find the wire to splice into. (i think it was a a green with yellow stripe, i think 2002+ are different)

However when I swapped out my axles and relocated the speedometer pickup to the tail cone on the t-case it fried it for some reason...........so now my speedometer reads double :smiley_drive:

I have one for years on my 97 XJ, 4.56 gearing with Cooper STT MT's 33X12.50X15. 35mph actually happens at 37mph reading, 60mph is 60mph and 75 mph is about 73.5mph reading so it is a little lower at 35 and a little higher at 75 from actual. Getting the right speedo replacement gear will cost you less but if you change tire size and gears a few times it might end up close to same cost. Glad I went with the Truspeed myself.

mine works great, settings for 2 tire sizes at the flip of a switch. I just calibrate it with GPS. Makes it easy to correct for those" variations" in manufacturers specs.

Truspeed. Once it's spliced in, you adjust it with the "KEY" ( baby screw driver) I set mine to be dead on @ 60 with 2 different gps units the first time. It's stayed close enough that I've never had a Law enforcement issue. even in the school zones.
