We're taking part again this year in the annual Hunters Who Care cleanup of ranches in the Altar Valley. This area is heavily used by urban hunters (or, more often than we like to admit, bozos driving around with guns and licenses and lots of Bud, who leave trash and tear things up) as well as heavily hammered by migrants who leave mounds of refuse.
To help out the ranches who have to host the hunters (public land agreements), those of us who hunt in the area get together every year to do a big cleanup.
We're going to be working our region on Saturday the 15th, from the Sierrita Mts west to Highway 286.
