Hey all, great forum you got here. I love the pics in the "post you pics" thread. I was wondering if anyone has ever done a two-tone paint job on their 1st gen? I was thinking something along the lines of a 1st-gen Bronco style. Would definitely like to see pics of this, if someone has any.

Sure. I have a couple of buddies who herculinered (black) the bottom half of their gen I's.
Followed the natural lines up and over the wheel arches.

That looks good! I can't remember if the door pillars are painted or black on the Montero, but I like when the windows or center section is all black like yours. Did you paint that or is it stock?
Simple, basic, no-frills, utilitarian '80s Japanese styling. Same reason all the Camries and Accords from that time look the same.
Round headlights are cheap and available worldwide. Flat body panels are easy to repair.

Believe it or not, it's Rustoleum Textured Black and Krylon Camo spray paint. Tree scratches can be fixed in minutes. :victory:
