Well gee whiz....what a great platform.....room, electric already in and over done, cabinetry already done or one heck of a start....fantastic power engine wise....hi output everything.....add a few things, 4X4 it thru UJoint........Whats not to like....plus usually a cheap in w/ reasonable mileage on the clock! Hell I'm old and I'm really seriously thinking about it....I could live out my life in a conversion like this very comfortably with my 2 Basset Hounds and see or re-see tons of stuff .......places I've been and places I wish I'd been.
Hopefully they'll find me before I really stink up the place....with a smile on my face and the dogs okay.....I'll invest in a 'spot' so my daughter will know it ended.
Ambos' are starting to look good to me!

Thanks for reminding me why I built my van. I needed that, lately it hasn't been getting used and I've been thinking of selling it. shhh. but there really is nothing better than a van in my opinion. Except a 4x4 Van. and then maybe an Ambovan.
Either way Thanks bobDog you paint a beautiful picture.

Reason I moved into a larger shop:

Multiple builds at one time!

Tore down the 5.4 van today. Suspension, fuel tank, exhaust, fluids, we even got the rear springs swapped. Not bad since we started after lunch.

Chris, fantastic work. Its great to see someone in the off road community that is actually keeping busy and innovating! It looks like you honestly enjoy your work and it shows in the outcome. Keep it up and remember to keep it fun!

Chris, I saw a bit back that you seperate the body to get to the motor. has anyone inquired about swapping the whole body? There are a lot of nice E150 conversion vans out there that could make a great 4x4 diesel swap if it was only as simple as swapping bodies.

Not often. There are differences between these vans that could make it difficult.

So it's possible..... If you have the patience and $$!!!

Crazy busy at the shop! I've added some more staff to help out, and we're tackling 2 conversions at the same time right now. One is the gold conversion van that I already posted a pic of, the other is RhinoAmbo. This ambo is getting a full build, inside and out. We're full throttle on this one, has to be done in a little over 2 weeks. And, finishing up the final details on the Superblue van, it leaves next week for CA. I'll be shooting a video with details Monday.

Oh, and this '13 E350 V10 that I ordered for a customer is in! Can't wait to tear into this beauty
