Uncompahgre Peak 14er trip in Colorado

So a few coworkers and myself decided to have our quarterly team meeting at the top of a 14er. We drove about an hour to Lake City then up Engineer Pass a bit. Then turned right at Nellie Creek Road. Camped at the base and hike before dinner.

Great stuff. I flew into Denver last week on my way home from Seattle. We flew right over the Rockies. I surprised to see how much snow is left. Beauteeeful!

I hope to make it up that way later next month in my ZR2.

Awesome pictures! The wildflowers seem to be going off right now. Was there truck camping at/near the trailhead? Thinking of heading that way this week.

My wife and I have done that hike a couple times in the last few years. Great area. That's as pleasant a hike as 14ers get. Beautiful scenery, nothing too hard, really a super nice stroll through the Rockies.

The drive up is really nice, to boot.
