Update to Wyatt’s Fundraiser…

Through the suggestions of a few people we have moved this to a new section and thought we would update you on how the fundraiser is doing. If you missed the original fundraiser thread then let me explain real quick...My 9 year old son Wyatt, decided to pick a fundraiser to support this year. The purpose for the fundraiser is to gain money and expose people to the Wildlife Warriors. Wyatt gets no prizes for his hard work, no special gifts, and he does not get anything special for raising the most money he can. Wyatt gets to feel good about what he is doing for the endangered animals and their habitat. Hi everyone. I wanted to thank all of you who donated to my fundraiser. I wanted to say it means so much to me you supported the Wildlife Warriors and me. I love getting home from school and checking the amount I raised for the day, it is awesome!!! I'm almost half way to my goal and hope I can reach and even exceed it!! With your help I can do it. Please forward my link to your friends and family and tell them it is a good cause. Okay my Dad says it is time for school. Crocs Rule!!

Just a quicknote to let everyone know who has donated and those still wanting to, the fund raise is going great. Wyatt is past his half way mark, although the web site does not show the cash he has collected. He has a grin from ear to ear because he is still in the lead of most collected in the USA by double! He still checks this almost everyday after getting home from school, even though he has only gotten a few donations lately. A month to go for the drive and it is time to move it in high gear. If you have not checked the site please go and support it!

After a full day of trying to write grants for conservation, deal with 200 emails (many requests for funding), sort out a bunch of miscommunications, help get a new org on the way, and wondering why I am doing what I'm doing when it drives me crazy and I can't seem to get anything done . . . and then I see what great person like you is doing . . . and it reminds me to take stock and just get the job done.

Thanks, Wyatt! Keep it up. You've already made a difference in the world, whether you make your stated goal or not. You've made it! Never forget.
