Just like the title of the thread states. Where do ranger(good ole USA extended cab, not that global fancy pants never coming here...sigh ranger) owners place a fridge. I've currently got a platform in the shell and am looking to place something in the cab. Looking for brands and models that fit. If I have to remove a jump seat and build a platform I can. But I still need one seat. Pics would be great. I'll get some posted of my rig here soon. Please help me blow my tax return. Thanks again for any and all input!

I mounted a 12v outlet in the bed near the tailgate, and cut a hole in the side of my shell and installed an RV hatch outlet to past the 12v wire outside. Also I installed a Bed Rug which is easy on the knees and makes it warmer when you sleep in camper shell, see pics

Any of you Ranger guys interested in a gas can w/carrier that slips into a receiver hitch? I made it for my '06 FX4. I've since sold the truck in lieu of an F150 FX4 with a 36 gallon tank (thus the reason I didn't modify it to fit the F150).
It would be ridiculous to ship it, so SF Bay Area folks might be most interested in it. $100 obo, includes the can, bracket and a new lock strap. PM me if interested.

stingray, I am interested but it looks like you need to remove it from the receiver to open the tail gate. Is that much of a problem? Does it fit snug in the receiver so it doesn't bounce around excessively when off-road?

Hiya! Yes, the carrier has to come out to open the tailgate. This really is for overlanding (or in expectation of long stretches between gas station-equipped communities)

It comes out really easy: just pull the hitch pin and it slides right out.

It doesn't rattle. At all. I designed it so that the bottom of the can "bin" rests on the rear bumper. I made it for a really long trip through the Southwest a couple of years ago, and I never heard it. It is quite sturdy as well (I am a certified welder for almost 30 years now), made of real hitch stock. It also doesn't block the tail light.
