First trip to Uwharrie. Camped at Arrowhead campground and hit the trails Saturday. Stopped by Eldorado Outpost to get breakfast and pick up our adventure passes. They were very nice there and gave us some great advice on where to go. They even made my son pancakes (which weren't on the menu). Their egg and sausage biscuits were very good although I was skeptical when I first walked in.

Anyway, we did Dickey Bell trail from north to south. It was rated a medium trail with a few sections that required spotting for my buddy and I. One tricky downhill section required careful spotting and a level head. My Jeep went through everything nicely. We saw 8 vehicles total on the trail during the day....every one was a Jeep.

Here's some pics:

Here'sthe GPS track of the trail. PM me if you want the data.

Thanks to all the members who helped with advice for this trip. My son and I had a great time and we'll definitely be back.

URE offers trails of all difficulties so you should be just fine. Just make sure you don't go alone and have a spotter but like I said there are trails out there for everyone. I use to live in NC if you're wondering how I know this since I now live in AZ. Wheeled there many times.

Uwharrie does have a bunch of different trails for difficulties. As for trails for everyone, I disagree, I have seen several stock rigs battle through Wolfden and been unable to completely traverse it, even in ideal weather. If you have running boards and a lower rig then usual, forget it.

Winched out several stuck rigs in the past, even in perfect conditions.

As for the OP, dickey bell is a great run, your buddies commance looks like it could do any trail. You should try rocky mountain next time and maybe even dutch john. I've taken my rig onto all the trails except daniel, hopefully conquer that trail soon. Definite carnage on daniel!

If the weather is anything less than ideal, don't even bother, the easier trails become MUCH MUCH harder and anything moderate becomes almost impossible. That slick red clay provides less traction than ice.

Just noticed you are running radial rovers, also running them in 33s but on a 16" wheel. Nice sliders as well.
Good MT given the conditions out here especially aired down to 15-18psi

I was hoping to get a few people together to do uwharrie or GWNF sometime soon, let me know next time you go.

I ran the Dunlop's at street pressure and had no problems with the conditions that day. I do like them but the combination of them and the Cragar Soft 8's don't spin balance very well. They sing a pretty good tune.
