Van Flooring Options

Does anybody have recommendations for flooring material that accomplishes the following?

-Durable
-Water resistant
-Finished look
-Non-slip
-Easy to clean

I'm doing a full interior build on my cargo van, but the aisle will also be used to haul bikes/motos and other cargo in the summer. In the winter the floor will likely see some water from snowy gear. So far I've considered:

-King Starboard AS - $$$$ and hard to source in CO
-Loncoin - mixed reviews on durability. Some say sharp edges (like plywood) will cut it. Is it non-slip?
-Bedliner - might look iffy, and seems difficult to clean

I've used the puzzle style flooring in both my rigs. Functionally it is awesome. Not 100% about the look, but people always seem to notice and like it.

Costco vinyl garage flooring... gray/silver checkerplate pattern. No seems, water, salt, oil proof. I've not used mine yet though :( Should be fairly slip resistant and easy to clean.

Commercial or industrial rubber or vinyl flooring is the way to go. Bonda seems together using a Sikaflex urethane adhesive and bond to the floor using a contact adhesive or allow it to float.

Loncoin is non slip, and pretty durable. If you slide heavy+sharp objects on it you can create cuts. In the airline industry loncoin survives long service lives even with heavy carts rolling on it.

Annother option I've seen is thick rubber flooring from the local farm supply store. It's black rubber more than 5/8" thick. It would likely stop bullets... maybe not, but darn near.

Horse stall liner works well, it just doesn't come clean very easily.

i have a vanrug bedrug in my van, its great, fits easy, vacuums well, looks/feels like carpet, but its oil/gas/water resistant.

its $175 on amazon, shipped to your door. and installed in literally 20 minutes, including screwing the carpet transition down in the front.

It's also VERY heavy. Heavy duty and durable, but I think overkill in vans. It's also fairly thick for what it is.

And timely thread, I've just been considering this very topic, thanks for the input everyone. -Eddie

I have the stall mats (3/4" thick) in my van and I actually like it a lot more than anything else. It has enough give but is firm, its easy to clean with a rag and a bucket of whatever cleaner you want. Its also a great insulator and sound deadener. And yes its heavy but that means it doesn't move unless you really want it to.

I used the VanTred cargo mat and have been very happy with it.

Costco is low risk but I would take a look at that "material" first.
I bought a similar type product in black from Home Depot online, it was really thin and "plasticy", not very durable and potentially easily damaged on install as it would crease easily.....I returned it to the store.

I chose the "rubber like" coin type flooring in place of the original carpet, one continuous piece.
It's very durable to foot traffic, easy to clean by sweeping or wiping. The van has had many a ski/snowboard boot put on and taken off on it now and I couldn't imagine having carpet, it would be "ruined" in one shot.

Saw this at Costco yesterday, even though I plan on selling soon I think I am going to put this in, big enough to do my entire van in one continuous piece, at $179 it seems a bargain especially since you are not piecing it together.

That's the Costco flooring I've got. Seems tough, and is more than enough to cover the entire floor without any seams. Once adhered to the 1.25" floor it should be even tougher.

I was going to say the same thing - stall mat, for $60 you should be able to do the entire floor. I have stall liner and a couple of throw rugs that I put down when I want a more comfortable surface for bare feet, etc.

It's pretty heavy stuff, and will stink of rubber for a while when you first get it but that eventually goes away.
