Vehicle storage?

I have another thread going in the Storage Solutions about in-vehicle lockable storage and thought maybe this is another audience I could target.

I have a 2005 Chevy Express that has zero lockable storage so I'm considering options from Tuffy, Smittybilt, etc. as well as modifying and mounting ammo cans. I'm in the process of building out my van as a camper so I'm considering all the features I would want.

I'm just curious what the gun crowd here does to secure money, small documents, concealed weapon, etc. in the vehicle when it needs to be secured?

Thanks!

I noticed that you didn't get any replies. I purchased a couple of lockable boxes from Gander Mountain a few years (4?) back. They are about 12 inches deep, 5 inches wide and 6 inches tall. I think they are pistol or ammo lock boxes. They can be bolted to the floor ( I am not about to tell you which vehicle mine is in) and are secure enough to hold your stuff (like 200 rounds of pistol ammo, a pistol and 50 rounds of 12 gauge).:coffee:

This has been a problem for Americans forever. The 49ers on their way to California use to take off an iron wagon piece then hollow out a space behind it in the wood. This was for Gold coins and other things of high value. If they got held up by bandits the bad guys wouldn't get their Gold. Indians didn't rob them of their Gold, but they might lift their hair. Today one needs to have a hidy hole just in case of modern day varmits.
