Vehicle video camera system

Is anyone running a set of cameras in/on their vehicle other than a POV camera like a GoPro or Contour? I've been thinking about putting a camera inside the cab and a couple outside but would like them to run back to a central computer (larger storage and I could check the alignment) and have a constant power supply (since GoPro's tend to be power hungry and I'm bad about forgetting to check the batteries periodically while running mine).

ETA- I know about the yellow FJ with the very nice but high dollar custom setup, I'm interested in a lower cost alternative.

I use a a GoPro Hero 2 with the wi-fi back and the GoPro app for my iPad/iPhone to check composition and control the camera from inside my Jeep. Works great. Also nice to be able to see when the camera gets knocked off your vehicle! Battery life on the GoPro is certainly lacking. I plan to make a long power cord to plug the camera in. Have the video back for the camera but prefer the wi-fi so I can view things on a decent size screen.

I just installed my Kodak zx1 HD video camera in my Jeep on the rugged ridge gadget mount. I have yet to run it on trail. I plan on taking a couple of videos tomorrow and try out the optics but from the viewfinder, all looks good. Hopfully it takes shots ok, in the night using the lights on the jeep so on my travels I can get video of how many moose I see during night drives.

Not sure if it was here or at IH8M, but I saw topic about someone who turn his FJ Cruiser to something what you are talking about. But you have to search
