Ventilation in FWC

Thinking of getting a FWC Fleet, either a shell or lightly equipped version. My concern is ventilation. I live in Central Texas. The aim is to get to someplace cooler, but Texas is big and it can take awhile to get to someplace cool and high. Plus, it can be hot in Texas just about any time of year. I don't want to invest in AC or carry the weight. How well do the Fantastic Fans draw air through the camper? Can additional or larger windows be ordered? Thoughts? This would be a move up from tent camping for me. Thanks!

Larger windows are not an option.

Fantastic fans work very well and can circulate air throughout the camper. You can order two fans one over the kitchen and one over the bed. Opening the lower vents allows cooler air from the bed to be circulated.

If you order through Adventure Trailers we'd be happy to upgrade the standard fans to Fantastic fans with remotes.

I have an Eagle with two fantastic fans and live in Georgia. The two fans do a nice job of circulating the air, but of course when the humidity is high in the summer it is going to be hot. I've also camped in the Everglades and have been able to sleep OK at night. The side windows right next to the bed allow a lot of circulation.

I have just one fan in my older camper, over the kitchen area, but it still makes a great breeze if we only open the windows around the bed, and use the fantastic fan to pull air in the windows and blow it out the roof. I also use it with all the windows closed to pull the sides in when I lower the top. Works excellent!!

I should also add that I bought my Eagle through Adventure Trailers and recommend them without reservation. I have been a customer of theirs for years and they are great folks to deal with and they really know their craft.

Your post says you're moving up from tent camping. The FWC can be ventilated as well if not better than a tent.

What is the best setup for ventilation? Two fans are better than one I'm guessing? One sucks and one blows? Which windows should be opened.

I'm sure I can figure this out as we go along but as a new hawk owner I'd be interested in the wisdom from more experienced users.

I started off with just the fan over the stove on my Eagle but quickly upgraded to one over the bed as well. I run both of mine on exhaust most of the time when it is hot so the air is pulled in through the windows and at night I only have the windows by the bed open.

Imorris, I live up in Eddy just south of Waco. I have a 2015 Hawk I also have the AC option... not used as yet. With a screen over the front sliding window and pull downs off the side popup windows. Turning on the fantastic fan we get good flow. I am also told a screen over the turnbuckle access panels and opening helps too.
