Vertical sliding cabinet

I am thinking about building a cabinet that mounts on the left barn door (side door) of my 2000 ford e350. I was thinking about making it so that when the door is open the cabinet can ‘slide’ to the ground and be used outside.
Has anyone built anything like that or could give me general advice on the type of slides/rails etc I would need for a vertical application like that?

This is similar then what I had in mind for a kitchen against the backdoor of my unimog skoolie conversion. I was thinking heavy duty ball slides but there has to be a solution for the weight so that it is easy to lower and raise against..pulley with garage door spring???

I am not far enough in my project to really think about it so please take the lead.
