Wal-Mart special...Pelican cooler?!?!

Alright so i have to post this. Idk if it was the deal of the century or not but to me it definitely was. It was almost too good to be true.

So my buddy and I were going to go with a group of friends to another buddies lake property for the weekend. So we needed some last minute ammo and clays due to some healthy procrastination so we could shoot our hearing away throughout the weekend. My friend i went to Wal-Mart cause they were only place open after we both got off work. My buddy just bought a 5th wheel camper so he needed a new cooler for his beverages so he doesn't open the fridge every time he needed a beer so after we loaded a cart full of clays and shells we headed over to the cooler isle and thats when i saw it:





I bought the only one on the shelf immediately and asked how many were in the back and there was only one more, so my buddy snatched it up. The guy we talked to said nobody wanted to buy them so they had to clearance the last ones. So there it is. $184.00 for a 65QT, made in USA, lifetime warrantied Pelican cooler awesomeness at my local Wal-Mart of all places

Nice find! Yeah, Wal-mart trying to sell a $300 cooler was a pretty dumb idea on their part. Not their target market. And once they are distributed to the stores and not moving just clearance pricing them was probably the right thing to do.

Interestingly their website says the cooler is in stock in some stores but still listed as $300. I wonder if the clearance pricing is going to show up everywhere or not?

ya i can't imagine someone paying full retail for one of these at Wal-Mart so i guess hold out and they might clearance them?

I rushed out to Wal Mart after reading this last night and we have a cooler in stock...not marked down though. Maybe I can watch it close enough to see if it does drop in price. Great pick up on your part!

Thanks man! Ya i would maybe talk to one of the workers or a manager or something to see how many are actually selling. Might get a better picture if they are gonna clearance soon or not. Just an idea. I hope they do so u guys can get in on the gravy!

Yea they didnt have one near me but they did by my Dads in New Jersey but they told him no as well. I did get a tan one form Costcos for $290 with tax, should be here on Monday.

sams club had a decent cooler a while ago also ? forgot what model but was one of the many nicer build models we are seeing
