Wanted design services

Hello

I live in Dubai and have decided to purchase a Isuzu NPS 4x4 single cab that I plan to build into an extreme offroad expedition vehicle. The design I have in mind is a 13 foot box with 45 degrees rear and a rigid lifting roof. I need the services of an experienced technical designer to develop for me all shop drawings and specs that enable me to build the camper locally. I'd appreciate your referrals.

Cheers,
Wissam

The NPS probably won't have enough load capacity to carry a fixed wall lifting roof design. I recommend a bigger chassis. Look at Unicat, Action Mobil they only use heavy MB or MAN trucks for this design.

Already off topic but there seems to be plenty of capacity. And plenty of overlanders on the NPS chassis

I don't want to hijack this thread anymore but obviously Victoria you are not capable of building a light weight overlander like the OP is seeking. Me I just want to follow his process. We get deliveries from an NPS van and it takes a massive load. i look at what he carries and I cannot imagine overlanding in anything heavier. I always have appreciated the compact simple lightweight over the heavy cumbersome overbuilt RV

I have build several lifting roof campers while working at Unicat. Recently we have done the engineering and supply of such campers to a customer. Trust me when I say it's going to be very heavy...
To do it right you need some serious internal structure and 1/3 more panel surface. Imagine taking the roof of a box... You end end up with a very unstable construction especially with a off road going vehicle. At the same time you also need flush mount windows/doors to allow for the roof movement. These windows are only available in glass. This translates in added weight.
Aside from the weight, I do not recommend this to anyone as a first time project. There are a lot of challenges involved...
